Carlisle Wide Plank Hickory- site sanded

This was a very challenging floor! This is a hickory floor that has a hand scraped texture and hand eased edges. Carlisle calls it footworn, we call it awesome. But it is very challenging to glue and nail this plank flooring and then hand sand it to preserve the texture. This to be followed by hand dye'ing and hand staining!
The designer on this project gave us a sample that she wanted to match. It happened to be a veneer'ed board that was actually mahogany! So with this in mind we utilized W.D. Lockwood aniline dye and stain to get the color we needed out of the hickory floor. Finished with x-matte, we think it came out great.

It has been about 8 years since we did that floor. I honestly do not remember the exact color.
It is a waterbased dye, I’d guess honey brown, followed by a mohagany oil based stain. Def not a diy color process as a lot can go wrong.
